Annette Fisher Among 37 Leaders Honored at ‘Brooklyn Top Women in Business’ Awards Gala

What a wonderful evening it was for Annette Fisher and 36 other Brooklyn’s “Top Women in Business” in 2015!
They were honored and hailed at an annual dinner and networking gala at The Grand Prospect Hall on the evening of March 11 by the “Home Reporter” and “Brooklyn Spectator” newspapers, with the Star Network. State certified senior counselor (CSA) Fisher was applauded heartily by the diners and cheered happily by two tables of her guests and friends, including her mother, Joyce Soden and her father George Soden.
“Thank you all for your support and love!” Fisher told her guests as she held her award trophy an open winged female holding a lit torch over her head. At the podium, she thanked Victoria Schneps-Yunis, gala host and co-publisher/owner of the popular hometown weekly newspapers that date back to 1951 (Home Reporter) and to 1933 (Brooklyn Spectator).
“These fabulous women have been so successful because they have a passion for what they do,” said Schneps-Yunis, whose son Josh Schneps is the newspapers co-publisher. In her program bio, Fisher, a state licensed loan organizer in New York and New Jersey, state licensed real estate agent at Fort Funding Corp. and BRESRE Realty, certified senior counselor (CSA), reverse mortgage expert, and company founder of Golden Maturity, Inc.
Fisher, in the awards program bio, cited her favorite quote from tennis star legend Arthur Ashe: “Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.”
And Fisher has followed through with stellar work and results, said her colleagues and friends praising what they said is her tireless and humble dedication to her work, especially on bringing her senior specialties together with Golden Maturity, Inc. and founding under her company’s multifaceted umbrella, PESID (People Empowering Seniors Independence & Dignity).
The awards program noted Fisher’s extensive background, including as a past vice president of the Coney Island Board of Trade, past president of BNI (Business Networking International) Morning Money Makers chapter and Bay Ridge Professional Women’s Network. She is president-elect of the Women’s Council of Realtors; Brooklyn chapter, and specializes in Federal Housing Administration mortgages, reverse HECM products, renovation 203k products and FHA 203b loans.
This Summer the book she co-authored with colleagues working in diverse but related fields, “Seniors: Get Your Ducks in a Row” is due for publication. Co-authors are Robert Howe, Debra Gross, Mary Maroney, Marie Sayour and Marla Loughran. Some of her colleagues and friends were among the award honorees and Fisher praised their work.
