Gotham Help makes Covid-19 testing available to the elderly and people with preexisting conditions. Gotham Help is part of the City’s Health and Hospitals system.

2400 test kits are being made available weekly and Mayor de Blasio hopes to double the amount. Testing will make it clear to those folks who have the virus, they have it and they need to quarantine themselves for at least 14 days. If their symptoms become severe they should call their doctor or 911.

Recently I found out a friend of mine who was caring for her husband, who is Covid-19 positive, is now positive. It doesn’t matter if they’re our loved ones. If a person is sick we need to keep our distance. Put a tray of food at the bedroom door, no need to enter. Don’t touch their dirty laundry without proper protection. Don’t use the same towels. Sterilize the bathroom and use proper protection to do so.
