COVID-19 deaths continue to climb, Chris Cuomo tests positive, PESID LunchConnect
What are the rules for COVID-19? Perhaps you still don’t get it. Just because we don’t want our loved ones to be lonely, doesn’t mean we should go visiting them. Governor Cuomo talks about how his brother had recently wanted to visit with their mom. The Governor convinced him not to get together with her, even though she was lonely. Boy oh boy, it’s a good thing they decided not to get together because his brother, Chris Cuomo just tested positive this morning, for the Coronavirus.
Our mission at PESID isn’t just bringing resources to seniors. We need to listen to the warnings about this rapidly moving Coronavirus COVID-19 disease. You think your strong, well maybe your loved one isn’t quite so strong. By having face to face interactions with others and visiting our seniors, just because they’re lonely, you can then bring the disease to them. STOP IT. We’re all subject to this virus. So isolate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my household there are 3 of us including my 90 year young mom. Most of the day we spend in three separate rooms.
Let’s just get through this. This isn’t over, stay home, meditate for calmness, listen to music or watch a funny movie here and there. My moms TV is tuned to one channel. I don’t want the news flashes coming on and interrupting her regularly scheduled programing. Just let your senior relatives be aware of the Coronavirus Covid-19 disease, how it’s transferred and what they need to do to stay safe. They’ve been around long enough to learn a thing or 2 about survival. If you don’t want them getting upset about this I suggest you let them know what is going on and tell them they need to stay home and tell them you’ll keep them updated. Listening to all of this can cause mental trauma and that alone can be devastating. Per Goverenor Cuomo, 6175 Mental Health Professionals have signed up to help folks with all this, free of charge. Just call 844-863-9314.
